Avery's First Haircut

Yesterday was my time to get my "hair did" so we decided to get Avery's trimmed for the FIRST time. My aunt Lois aka "Lo Lo" has done our hair since we were born I think. lol Aunt Shelly aka "schech she" came along too since she had the day off. We didn't cut much except the back to even it out. She had a little tail growing and one side was longer than the other. Avery did good sitting in the chair like a big girl except she kept saying "off off" and pulling at the smock. I think she looks soo cute even though you probably cant tell much. When daddy got home from work, she was soooo proud. He said"let me see your haircut." Avery: Smiling from ear to ear, she turns around in a circle two times. It was soo cute how she was modeling her haircut for daddy.

waiting for her turn..

BEWARE of VIRUS...

Well we have been sick AGAIN at our house. Avery was throwing up on Tuesday afternoon and had a 102.1. Poor baby did not feel good at all. As the days went on I started not feeling good either. Wednesday evening I began throwing up and feeling like I was dying. I was so bad that i didn't even make it to the bathroom without passing out and waking up next to the toilet. Luckily my parents came over and gave me some anti-nauseous medicine. I basically slept all day while Zach watched Avery. The next day Zach woke up not feeling so hot either so he took the medicine and slept too. We were miserable. I cannot explain the feeling I felt. I felt like I was hit by a truck and couldn't keep anything down. So on Friday night my parents saved us AGAIN and came and picked up Avery so we could get better because it was impossible to take care of her with both of us sick. She got to spend pretty much the whole weekend with Dee Dee and Pa. We picked her up Sunday afternoon and yesterday I get a call from my dad that my mom has the same thing now. We feel sooooo terrible that they helped us out so much and now my mom got the yucky virus from us. I hope and pray that she gets better fast and no one else in our family gets this yucky virus. I have NEVER been that sick in my life and I'm just now getting back to normal.

Even though we suffered this past week, I did get some exciting news before we got sick. Avery "made the list" to go to Second Baptist Mothers Day out Preschool program in the fall. YAY!!! Its two days a week to help her learn and be with other kids. Its also gives me a break to run errands and get things done around the house. I'm very excited for her but also kinda sad. This means she is growing up when she is already going to school. tear... I just know she will learn so much from it. They teach, art, music, language & reading skills, colors, shapes, alphabet, bible study and sooo much more. I grew up Catholic and when Zach and I were engaged I joined Second Baptist with him. I LOVE their church so much that I got baptized there and even married at their woodway campus. I remember when Zach and I were going to our pre-marital classes and seeing all the kids programs how I could not wait til the day when we could put our kids in their program. My dreams came true and Im so happy it all worked out. The best thing about it is they have a website where they post what they do in the class so I can always see what she is learning and doing.

So to everyone reading this.... WASH YOUR HANDS!!! You don't want to get this. It is going around BIG TIME. I hope and Pray no one every gets this HORRIBLE VIRUS.. Please say prayers for my mom that she makes a fast recovery. Thanks!

19 months (2-15-10)

What's going on in Avery's world:

-LOVES or shall I say is OBSESSED with Elmo

-is working on potty training..sometimes she tells us when she needs to go potty and others we ask and she says no. Still working on it

-wears 24 months clothes, size 4 diapers, and size 4 or 5 shoes depending on the shoe

-still reads the same words. Hasn't been wanting to watch the new videos because she has been sick

-is VERY girly... She has started to love getting her finger nails cut as well as toes. I think it will be time for a mommy/daughter mani/pedi soon :)

-working on colors and the difference between boys and girls. She knows girls sometimes

-is such a loving little girl

-is very shy at first when meeting new people but once she is acquainted, she fits right in.

-loves any farm animal

-Loves dancing, jumping, books, and hopping on one foot. HA

-LOVES clothes and shoes

I know there is tons more stuff but cant think of them right now. She is turning into such a beautiful and smart little girl and it makes me sad to see our baby is growing up so fast.

Valentine's Day

On Valentine's we went to visit my parents since we haven't seen them in a few weeks. Either one of us was sick or we had birthday parties. HA HA... Zach and my dad grilled steak and chicken for all of us and it was soooo yummy. It was such a beautiful day that we got to go outside at Dee Dee and Pa's. Avery even got to see some cows across the street. It was still wet so she didnt get to play on the grass but outside is better than inside any day. We had a very nice "Love Day" with my two little Valentine's.
Oh don't ya just LOVE Avery's jeans. I think they turned out "too cute for words".I actually made these from her last years valentine's dress and added some other details like the hearts on the booty. She was the CUTEST LITTLE VALENTINE EVER!!!
