Park with Perri

Last Friday afternoon Avery and I met up with our friends Leah & Perri at a park we have never been to. I was an awesome park in Katy that I have never heard about. Leah told me about this park so I looked it up online to see just where it was and got to low down on it. First of all it's HUGE. It also has a big train in the middle of the play area. The internet said they made it so that handicap kids could join in on the fun too. Its really neat because they have seat swings so that they can swing to. I also noticed that they had the alphabet on the the playground but it was also braile. How cool is that for kids with disabilities. Avery and Perri had a blast. Leah had to be somewhere so we actual stayed a little longer. Avery kept saying "I like this park mommy. It's so fun!" Leah & I had a great time chatting and they girls had fun playing. We will definately be back to that park soon when it warms up again.
ps. some of the pictures are blury due to my camera no wanting to autofocus. I was trying to do it manually.. not possible when the kids move so fast.

Family Pictures

If you have noticed my new header on the blog, we took family pictures in December. We decided to take pictures for our parents this year for Christmas and of course since we have never had some of all 3 of us done. My friend Erin took them for us. The day we went Avery was sick and it was possibly the windiest day EVER!! I knew we could not cancel them because of Avery being sick because 1. we had to do them for our parents and 2. we have none of all of us and need some for our house.3.we did some with my sister for my parents and she lives in Dallas. It took us forever to get a set date where she wasn't working or busy or vice verse. We did what we could and I think they turned out very good with what we were working with. Avery was not wanting to take pictures that day by any means but managed to get a few shots of her smiling.
Here are the ones I liked the best..

Happy New Year!!!!

Wow what a year it has been. I have a feeling this yea will be a great one. On New years Eve we didn't do much since I have been sick. We did try and pop fireworks with Avery but she was still scared of them just like last year. I think a little worse this year. She screamed bloody murder and would only watch from inside the house after we did a few of them. She was even terrified when she heard them outside and would come running towards us. poor thing!! Well we at least we tried. We didn't even get to do all of them! Zach and I did make it til midnight but went right to bed after. We are such party animals. LOL

 no mommy!! no pictures

New Years day we went to Zach's parents for yummy BBQ and of so gross cabbage and black eyed peas. YUCK!! lol The kids had fun playing and the guys watched football.

I have so many new years resolutions this year and i hope to actually do them all. I really want to move into a bigger house for all the toys we have and to have more room for possibly a brother or sister for Avery. We aren't getting any younger and Avery will be turning three in July. I still can't believe she will be three soon. How time is flying by. She needs someone to play with don't you think? We aren't trying or anything .We are putting it in god's hands and when the time is right we will. I also want to take more time for myself in this new year. I seem to put all my time and energy towards Avery and anything else going on. I never do anything for myself and this year is a good time to start. I also have been stressed alot lately and this year I'm gonna try not to get so stressed out about ever "little" thing. I also want to try and stop spending so much money. I think I seriously have a shopping problem. You can ask my hubby about this one. He can tell you that's the truth. I need to stop buying every little thing that is cute and start saving for the future. This is gonna be one hard thing for me to do. I hope I have the will power for this one. I also want to spend more time with God this year. It's not like we don't already but I want our family to be more into it than we have. It seems alot of times we have things planned and miss church because of it. I want to put him first and not worry about the plans we have and the things we have to do. He is our creator and our everything. To put him last is not an option anymore. Last but not least I want to start eating better and working out this year. I eat but sometimes don't eat the very best thing for me. I need to eat and work out to feel better about myself. I really hope to do this because my health is very important in taking care of our precious angel. These past few weeks has made me realize how much I need to be healthy for her and my hubby. Zach was def there to take care of her while I was sick but I felt incapable of doing it. I don't want to feel like that anymore. I was not myself. I felt like I had no energy and very weak. I need to have my strength and be healthy so I can be there for Avery.

whew.. ok so there we go.. My new years resolutions...
I hope and pray I can do all of these this year. :)
I hope everyone had a very blessed New Years. I can't wait to see what God has in store for us this years.

Just for some extra pictures for the fam, here is a few pics of Avery playing outside & riding her jeep yesterday..

Happy New Year 2011!!!!
